About Us

The San Diego State Cycling and Triathlon Club is open to all current students at SDSU.  Both men and women of all skill levels are welcome to join!  From the beginner who just wants to learn some new skills and make some new friends, all the way up to the expert rider who wants to qualify for Collegiate Nationals!  The race weekends in our conference are formatted so that all experience levels are accounted for.  The following break down applies to both men and women:

  1. A’s    -  Most advanced
  2. B’s    -  Moderate experience
  3. C’s    -  Experienced
  4. D’s    -  This is for beginning riders who are racing for the first time

We encourage you to come out and enjoy a race with the rest of the team!

The fall semester includes the mountain bike and cyclocross race seasons.  There are about 8 race weekends at different locations, including our very own race called "SDSU Endless Summer Classic".

The road and triathlon season fall into the Spring semester.  Both road riders and triathletes can expect about 8 race weekends to be scheduled for the Spring.  SDSU hosts a criterium at the start of the road season, called the Annual Red Trolley Classic Criterium, and it is held here in the city of San Diego, just north of Miramar air base.

We want your cycling experience to be fun and your skills to continue to grow while you spend your time here at SDSU.  The team is here to help you with equipment, training, travel arrangements for races, learning of new skills, race tactics, and much more!  We strive for all our members to have fun, while at the same time doing your best, improving, and being competitive!
